Our reupholstery workshop

An aunt left me a small inheritance, so I built a reupholstery workshop.  She and her sisters were makers: their hands never still, a piece of work always on the go. She was a silversmith who also made silk lampshades.  Her older sister made hats.  The youngest sister worked in silver and in clay; she still paints at the age of 93.  They were, and are an inspiration.  My workshop is where I engrave glass, do some bookbinding and work in fabric.  It is also the home of The Playful Chair.

“Turn something old into something beautiful.”

Our chairs undergo thorough restoration and refurbishment in our workshop.
